This scientific information maybe helpful to better understand the challenges faced by gender variant individuals, their families, churches, and friends and acquaintances. 

A number of papers were kindly supplied by Dr. Warren Porter, University of Wisconsin, Madison, professor of zoology and environmental toxicology. Dr. Porter and other scientists featured on this page are not LGBTQ activists. They are or were, busy scientists, working in labs and in the field. They warn us of the devastating effects of many of the chemicals they study. They are deeply concerned for our children. From their vantage point call for immediate change. That change starts with personal decisions of individuals, families, and particularly churches who support families. The social attitudes, peer pressures and policies of the church usually influence the homes and families that church serves.

Scriptural requirements for shepherds, and a description of unfaithful shepherds

God specifically states that shepherds must have knowledge and understanding. They are not to put their own interests and reputations above knowledge of the needs of the flock.

Isaiah 56:9-12 is a stern prophetic rebuke against Israel's negligent and self-serving spiritual leaders. Isaiah describes the unfaithful "watchmen" and "shepherds" as blind, willingly ignorant, and unwilling to adjust to the changing needs of the flock and has always been this way, leading to the spiritual vulnerability of the people. Because the leaders as sleep at the switch, wild beasts in the forest gather to devour the flock.

Good credible science is a knowledge of the study of God's handiwork, His creation, and the effects of man's mistakes made against His original perfect designs.

In short, these chemicals and other toxins, affect too many of our children's gender and/or attraction. They also promote many diseases. Yes natural toxins, twin abnormalities (chimerism which may also be triggered by toxins) and likely other influences may have affected small number of cases of known gender variation throughout the centuries. However, the onslaught of many new toxic substances today may have dramatically increased the incidence of gender and attraction variances.

The witness of well known scientists

This page showcases a few of the hundreds of scientists who study endocrine disruption (the function of glands and hormones). Included are video lectures and links to their research and many other scientists' scientific papers. In many cases these scientists' work has been ignored or buried but they are all well worth our rapt attention and thoughtful consideration.

Dr. Warren Porter is a easy scientist to begin to hear. His signature overview lecture is an understandable overview and is featured on this page as a full length audio with powerpoint. It is also divided into short clips according to individual topic. These small "bytes" of teaching may be an easier way to absorb the initial concepts. The lecture was presented to the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Services (M.O.S.E.S.) Conference 2015 with the Q & A added from an earlier 2010 lecture.
